Menu

I created a menu inspired by the Rococo art period in France in the 1700s. I created a few illustrations for the menu and cover that represent the curved natural forms and ornamentation that were very popular during that time period. The challenge was to use a typeface that would be appropriate to the Rococo era as well as tie in a modern feel to attract customers today. I chose to go with a black and gold design so that I could tie to the rococo art period with the gold with the more current modern art feel of black. The typeface used is Caslon so that the menu would be more authentic to the time period of the 1700s but still very easy and legible to read today.
